Guy Michelmore is an award winning composer for film and television. He scores a wide range of projects from feature films to animation, commercials to natural history programmes. He is based in London with another studio in Italy and an office in Los Angeles.
Since 2004, he has worked mostly in the US, scoring five feature films for Marvel and over 100 episodes of television for US networks. His UK feature films include the award winning Frozen as well as landmark series for the BBC.
In 2007 he was nominated for an EMMY for his score for "Queen of Trees'. He won the Slate Award for Best Music for his score for the romantic comedy "Fly Fishing" and his music for "Tale of the Tides" won Best Score at the Missoula International Wildlife Film Festival.
His music often fuses live orchestra, sound design, contemporary sounds and live ethnic performance. He has recorded musicians on location in Madagascar, Kenya, India and Egypt.
Ten years ago he started Music for the Media, which has become the largest course for film and television composers in the world with 2500 students and graduates in 25 countries.
